The premises of the holding have always been markedly cultural. Only by contributing to the development of new awareness and education of the sector, Albertani Industries have faced the situation of the 70s, during which to offer and construct structures of 40-50 metres of bonded wood was as hard as finding the way to pass the camel through the eye of the needle.
It was exactly starting those years, that the company fought strenuously the prejudices against laminated wood as construction material, which prevented customers from taking it seriously in consideration. After overcoming the taboo of fire resistance, changing the opinions were exactly the tests commissioned by HABITAT Legno to the Institute of San Michele all’Adige, which certified the total reliability of laminated wood for construction. Albertani Industries has worked hard also on the space-tridimensional conception, that wood, a light and weak material by antonomasia, forcefully claimed.

To succeed in all these endeavours, Albertani Industries has believed to fundamental to creating a culture for the sector. Starting from the cooperation with some enlightened professors of the University of Venice – F.Laner, M.Caironi, L.Bonera and F.Zago – at the beginning of the 80s, the Company commissioned the writing of some books believed essential by designers and calculators, given the lack of technical information.
In addition and thanks to the excellent industry’s scientific committee in structural, architectural restoration, planning, technology and history of architecture, the Company published a magazine, Adrastea, which circulates in Italian Universities and professional studies.

Rightly, Albertani Industries has forcefully managed to have the laminated wood included in civil residences by verifying conceptions, finding new solutions and utilising new materials.
Wood has become an element of strong attraction, freeing spaces, suspending platforms and stairs, showing its nature: warm, pleasant and natural. Today, to build with wood has assumed meanings always more original.
